M.R.D. was originally written for the Eastman Saxophone Project (E.S.P.) and is a modern interpretation of classical 'dance' music like those of Strauss, Shostakovich, and Piazzolla. This interpretation was modernized through the lens of globalization: taking various dance forms from cultures throughout the world in just a few short minutes.
